Introduction
Crusoe announces planned maintenance and service incidents on the Crusoe Cloud Status page. Each post lists the affected availability zone (for example us-east1-a), the affected components, the time window in Pacific Time and UTC, the expected impact and any action you need to take.
Most maintenance doesn’t affect running instances. Some does, though: a network blip, a short load balancer gap, a few minutes of failed start/stop requests, or VMs being stopped. Subscribing lets you plan checkpoints and traffic shifts before the window starts.
ℹ️ Note: If an issue affects only a few of your resources, Crusoe Support usually contacts you directly through a support ticket rather than posting on the status page.
Prerequisites
- Access to the Crusoe Cloud Status Page
- Permission to Add Apps to Your Slack Workspace (Slack Option)
Instructions
Step 1: Choose a Method
| Method | What You Receive |
|---|---|
| Every new post, update and resolution | |
| SMS | New posts and resolutions only |
| Slack | Updates posted to a channel you choose |
| Atom / RSS | A feed of all status history |
| Single event | Updates for one specific post |
💡 Tip: Subscribe a team distribution list or Slack channel, not one person, so notices aren’t missed when someone is out.
Step 2: Subscribe
On status.crusoecloud.com, click Subscribe to Updates and pick an option:
- Email: Enter your address and confirm with the one-time code sent to you.
- SMS: Enter your country code and number, then confirm with the code sent by text.
- Slack: Click Subscribe via Slack, authorize the app and choose a channel.
- Single event: Open the post you want to follow and click Subscribe to Updates at the top.
- Atom / RSS: Add one of these feeds to your reader or automation tool:

ℹ️ Note: Slack subscriptions must go to a channel in your own workspace. Shared Slack Connect channels aren’t supported.
⚠️ Warning: If a window is extended after it was marked completed, the extension appears as a new post, so a single-event subscription won’t get it.
Step 3: Add Windows to Your Calendar (Optional)
There’s no calendar (ICS) feed. You can connect the RSS feed to a tool like Zapier or Make to create calendar events, or ask your Customer Success Manager for a calendar hold. If you automate it, check the times against each notice, because evening Pacific Time windows fall on the next day in UTC.
Example
You get this notice: “Network maintenance in us-southcentral1-a. Instances remain running. Brief network interruption under 2 seconds. Load balancer gap up to ~2 minutes. InfiniBand not affected.”
Your training traffic over InfiniBand is safe. You save a checkpoint anyway and add client retries for your inference endpoint behind the load balancer.
⚠️ Warning: If a notice says VMs will be stopped, data on ephemeral local NVMe disks will be lost. Move anything you need to keep onto persistent or shared storage first.
